According to TMZ

Lamar Odom has finally checked in to rehab to deal with his raging drug addiction … this according to a new report.
People.com broke the story, saying Lamar had checked into a rehab facility … but did not specify when or where he started treatment.
Lamar was seen out in public over the weekend … so the move to rehab had to be very recent.
As TMZ first reported … the 32-year-old NBA star has been struggling with drug addiction for years, and most recently he’s gotten hooked on smoking rocks. Lamar was arrested for DUI last Friday.
As we first reported, Khloe Kardashian issued an ultimatum to her husband over the weekend — enter rehab or their marriage is over.

Hopefully, he can kick this drug addiction and get back on Khloe’s good side. It’s better to be with the Kardashians than against them.

Khloe Kardashian is trying to stay positive. Just hours after her husband Lamar Odom got arrested for a DUI on Friday, Aug. 30, the reality star tweeted, "Smile and no one will notice."

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star previously tried to deflect attention away from the situation hours before by posting a glamour photo with her hair and makeup team -- Joyce Bonelli, Jen Atkin and Rob Scheppy -- via Instagram. "Omg you can totally not sit with us," she quipped alongside her friends.

Odom, 33, was arrested for driving too slowly on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernado Valley on Friday. He refused to take a chemical test as well, amid the news that he's battling substance abuse. Public Information Officer Leland Tang confirmed to Us Weekly that the athlete's driving privileges have been taken away for a year.

"The addiction had taken over their marriage," an insider told Us of Odom and Kardashian's nearly four year union. "The problem is cocaine. He would be high for three or four days at a time." Another added: "[Kardashian] wants to save her marriage and him. She says the things he does are because of the drugs, and she just wants him to get help."

Lamar Sends Threatening Texts To Polina Polonsky While Standing Next To Khloe

Nevermind the drugs, this Polina broad might bring down Lamar’s house of cards if he isn’t careful…
According to TMZ reports: Lamar Odom went after his drug enabler with a vengeance, calling the woman a “groupie junkie” and “crack head” … and he did it while Khole Kardashian was breathing down his neck.

TMZ has seen text messages between Lamar and Polina Polonsky, an attorney who Lamar stayed with during the last few months … partying with him while he was doing crack.

We’ve learned on July 13, Khloe confronted Lamar at a downtown L.A. motel, where he was holed up with the woman and doing drugs. In an effort to save her husband, Khloe practically manhandled him out of the room and back to their home.

Once home … Lamar started texting Polina right in front of Khloe, telling Polina he had “f**ked up.” Polina responded by saying, “You’re corny.” Lamar — standing next to his furious wife — then fired his salvo, texting Polina, “Groupie junkie … crack head.” 

Lamar went on, “U might want to b careful. Narcs know. They have footage, audio n pics.”

Polina responded, “Stay in your lane.” He fired back, “4real Know where u work U live Ur parents.”

Although Khloe was aware for 2 years that Lamar was addicted to drugs … our sources say Khloe became convinced on the day the texts were sent that crack was Lamar’s overriding problem.

Polina got gangsta with Lam-Lam! “Stay in your lane”! LMAO! His best bet is to take her advice, things are already bad enough as they are.

Lamar Odom Arrested for Suspicion of DUI

 

 

            

NBA player and Kardashian husband Lamar Odom was arrested early Friday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, the California Highway Patrol has confirmed to TheWrap.

According to the CHP report, Odom's white Mercedes was observed driving in a "serpentine manner" on the 101 freeway. When officers pulled Odom over, he "showed objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests."

He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, but refused to submit to chemical tests. In California, that refusal means his license will be suspended for at least one year.

Odom, who last played for the Los Angeles Clippers, married reality star Khloe Kardashian in 2009 and the two starred in an E! reality series based on their marriage. Khloe and Lamar has been on hiatus since 2012.

 

Media reports have speculated that Odom has a serious drug problem and his marriage to Kardashian was in trouble. Odom was suspended by the NBA for violating its anti-drug policy twice in 2001.
Odom's representative did not respond to TheWrap's request for comment.
